Terms of Use (EULA)

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Sagolab ("we", "us") covering your use of the SpeakSwipe mobile application ("the app"). By installing or using the app you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store from which you obtained the app.

2. Subscriptions and payments

• The app offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions ("SpeakSwipe Pro") that unlock unlimited lessons and additional features.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your device's App Store or Google Play account settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Prices may change. You will be notified of any change before it takes effect.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
• Use the app to harass others or violate any law.
• Attempt to bypass subscription gates, App Check, or other technical controls.
• Resell, rent, or sublicense access to the app.

4. User content

The app may record audio when you use the speaking-practice feature. This audio is processed solely to give you pronunciation feedback and is not retained on our servers after the session ends.

5. Intellectual property

All video lessons, audio, text content, illustrations, the SpeakSwipe name, and the SpeakSwipe logo are owned by Sagolab or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any of this material to you.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any specific learning outcome.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sagolab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from Settings → Delete Account.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
